How is the consultative process organized?
Initial exploratory assessment is made on line (Email), during which the client and SMC decide if the situation or problem fits with the services provided by SMC and would benefit from a consultative report.
If both SMC and the client feel a report may be beneficial, an onsite assessment would be made by SMC during which time SMC would expand on what they could offer the client and what the possible outcomes may be. Should the client choose to proceed with a full consultation, SMC will make arrangements for a future, protracted, onsite (up to three months) study of the situation. Interim reports will be provided during this period. At the conclusion of the study, a full consultation report will be submitted to the client in a timely manner. Implementation of the report is the sole responsibility of the client, however, SMC can be contracted to assist with such implementation, should this level of supervision be desired.
What are the costs involved in the process?
There is 'no charge' for initial e-mail contact, and assessment.
Initial onsite visit charges include travel, and living expenses, plus a small Per Diem, only. Subsequent contractural consultation is subject to a pre-determined rate billed electronically each month, to the credit card of your choice (other payment arrangements, available on request). A final expense report is submitted when the complete report is provided for your review.
Are there any legal implications?
A contractual arrangement is employed to outline consultant and client responsibilities and associated costs are clearly itemized to insure that a clear understanding of the consultation process is achieved. SMC personnel are licensed and insured professionals.
What about privacy, confidentiality and security?
All communications are strictly confidential and to maintain online security, we employ the use of a 'secure' channel e-mail and messaging system. Clients or potential clients can be assured of total privacy. We will not release your name or information to anyone for any purpose. SMC employs the use of industry standard 'Non-Disclosure' agreements as well, to ensure that all information exchanged remains confidential.
